I have not shot anything for this assignment yet. There is a 98% chance that I'll be changing my subject to something more appealing to me.

Change of plans

I decided to change my entire project and take a different approach. Having the chance to do a shoot last week, I began to like my new images a lot more than my current idea. Not all may know this, but I specialize in fashion, portrait, and other commercial photography. This is what I ultimately want to do as a career.

New Photo Series

So... The MMA fighter dropped from the shoot and I decided to go with a new idea. I thought of juxtaposing the natural world with the industrial. I wan't to take a minimalistic approach to the shoot and plan to use white seamless with a gloss finish floor.

Photo Project "Fighting the Elements"

I am planning to shoot a MMA fighter for the school magazine (Warrior Life) and also use the shots for this project. The elements are influential in many aspects of the martial arts and I want to take a literal approach. I want my subject to fight water, fire, wind, and earth. I really haven't shot anything because my subject (fighter) has flaked-out two times. He seems to have a very busy schedule, but ill try again this Wednesday.

MEME

The first meme I have ever created. I enjoyed the whole process from start to finish and it turned out fine. Punk rock is my favourite genre of music and I had to make a "punky" looking cover. My random image was of a guy with a gas mask and I thought the picture was perfect to begin with. The artist name was a good random pick and what really made everything work. Every time I see a gas mask I think of chemicals and war. I made the photograph into a stencil design and stencil fonts. The addition of the radioactive symbol complimented the whole theme.
